Welcome to the Nashville Illini Club!
On behalf of the Executive Board and your fellow Illini in Middle Tennessee, I want to personally welcome you to the Nashville Illini Club, the official regional chapter of the University of Illinois Alumni Association (UIAA). This club is open to all alumni and friends of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
I am excited to be welcoming you as the first president of the Nashville Illini Club! This effort has been a long time coming, passing through many different hands. It is with deep gratitude to the consistent support of local alumni and fans that I’m thrilled to say that we have officially launched.
Nashville is a vibrant, rapidly growing city with abundant professional, social, and cultural opportunities – it’s no wonder we are seeing more and more Illinois license plates and orange and blue t-shirts all over town. You’ve likely shouted an “I-L-L!” or two yourself. With more than 1,700 known alumni in Middle Tennessee, we have a tremendous opportunity to come together to show our Illini spirit.
The Nashville Illini Club was established to connect alumni, current students, and friends of the University of Illinois system living in the region and to show our support and loyalty to the university. We are committed to nurturing the Nashville Illini Network by providing our community with a variety of social, professional, cultural, and educational resources and opportunities. From game watches to networking events, community service to local scholarship support, we hope to offer events and programs that appeal to everyone.
Be sure to follow us on social media (Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn) and bookmark this website to stay in the loop about news and upcoming events. If you are interested in volunteering to help plan and execute club activities, have any questions, or just want to share your Illinois memories, please email us at email@example.com.
We may be 350 miles from the Alma Mater, but I know the Illini spirit is strong in Nashville and I look forward to seeing our community flourish.
